The Govt I.T.I. Keshpur running under P.T.P. was established by Government of West Bengal in 2016 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades under Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) for the domestic industry to raise qualitatively and quantitatively the industrial production by systematic training to reduce unemployment among the unemployed youth by providing them employable training and to cultivate and to nurture a technical and industrial attitude in the younger generation in line with The Craftsman Training Scheme that was introduced by government of India early in 1950. The scheme, most important in the field of vocational training, has been shaping Craftsmen to meet the existing as well as future manpower need, through the broad network of other institutes established in the state by the Government.
